Mental Gymnastics Session for Elderly People (90 min)
1. Cognitive Activation and Mindfulness (30 min)
🔹 Welcome and brief explanation about the importance of mental training.
🔹 Cognitive stimulation games: word association, categorization and concentration exercises.
🔹 Mindfulness techniques to improve focus and reduce stress.
🛑 Rest (10 min) – Hydration and relaxed conversation.
2. Memory and Mental Agility Exercises (30 min)
🔹 Short- and long-term memory games: remembering lists, images or sequences.
🔹 Spatial and temporal orientation activities to reinforce the perception of the environment.
🔹 Logic and reasoning challenges to stimulate active thinking.
🛑 Rest (10 min) – Relaxation with soft music.
3. Creativity and Mental Relaxation (20 min)
🔹 Therapeutic writing: short stories or personal memories.
🔹 Word games and imagination exercises to strengthen creativity.
🔹 Guided relaxation with positive visualization and deep breathing.
